Nixon Watch Wonders

Nixon watches are the coolest and the most modern timepieces ever. They focus on your lifestyle and stay in touch with what is modern and classy and really you. Nixon USA is based in Encinitas, in Southern California, and its mission and focus are based on that local genre. Nixon Europe is based in Hossegor France.

Nixon watches made in the U.S. focus on the Southern California lifestyle and philosophy, understanding the paramount importance of leisure and relaxation and the eager pursuit of such active sports as surfing, skating and snowboarding. Nixon watches are high end and sporty. Nor does Nixon focus solely on its snazzy timepieces either. You can find a great Nixon wallet, purse, belt, t-shirt or hoody as well.

Possibly the most innovative of watchmakers, Nixon is not just about hip either. It's also about giving. For this year's Grammy Charity Auction, Nixon donated one of its fabulously inventive collections, its one of a kind Nixon watch from the Rock Collection, this an Ozzy Osbourne. Part of this superb creation was leather that came from Ozzy's own pants. Since the pants were small, there was only enough leather for 30 watches, so this collection is limited indeed. The awarded Nixon watch was number two of this 20-watch collection. And, while there are 29 more out there they're still all different because each came from a different piece of the Ozzy Osbourne leather pants. What a great award and what an innovative timepiece. These wardrobe materials and items have been donated by famous athletes, musicians, actors and artists to raise money for a Nixon-initiated charity, the MusiCares MAP campaign.

The leather that created the watch straps on these Nixon charitable watches were donated not only by Ozzy Osbourne but also by Slash, Scott Weiland, Peter Frampton, Dave Navarro and Jeff Buckley.

The way the charity event works is that you have a chance to bid on these collector's items through the MusiCares site, or you can bid also at specially selected stores in various parts of the world. The contest will run from November 15th through December 15th of 2006.

These Nixon watches are known as Rocker watches, with leather bands 1.75 inches wide by 9.5 inches long. The faces of the watches are 1.5 inches wide by two inches deep. Each watch weighs three pounds in the box. They're arguably the most unique watches anywhere in the world.

All Nixon watches come with a limited two-year warranty.
